A 60-year-old man died from serious injury after a fatal traffic collision on Monday afternoon. The 17-year-old teen driving the second vehicle did not sustain critical injury and was evaluated at the scene.

Heber City Police say dashcam footage was obtained showing the cause of the accident was due to the first vehicle’s failure to stop at a stop sign while traveling eastbound on 400 South. The second vehicle was traveling southbound on 500 East and struck the first vehicle on the driver’s side. Police say speed was not an issue.

Heber Police and the Wasatch Fire District responded to the scene just after 2:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon. The 60-year-old man was transported by emergency medical services to Heber Valley Hospital. He later died from his injuries.
