MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A man is recovering after he was allegedly stabbed in downtown Madison, officials reported on Tuesday.

According to the Madison Police Department, the man told officers he was driving near downtown in the 200 block of S. Park Street when he saw a man and a woman allegedly fighting.

He got out of his vehicle to try and break up the fight when he was allegedly stabbed, MPD stated.

The man arrived at a local hospital Tuesday morning to receive treatment.

No arrests have been made.
