AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) - A delegation from Massachusetts, including lawmakers from the state, took a trip north on Tuesday to meet with some of Maine’s lawmakers.
The main topic was Maine’s farming policies surrounding PFAS, also known as forever chemicals. The group visited a farm in Arundel to see not only lawmakers’ response to PFAS but also how farmers are responding.
Those coming from Massachusetts say Maine is doing nation-leading work regarding the chemicals and are excited to learn what has been done and keep connections for future legislation.
