WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A Waco woman and a Good Samaritan who rushed to her aid testified Tuesday that an intoxicated Sampson Walter Graves assaulted the woman, rammed her car three times with a pickup truck and threatened to kill both of them during an incident in August 2023.
Graves, 65, who was sentenced to 25 years in prison for killing a toddler in 1993, is on trial in Waco’s 19th State District Court on two enhanced aggravated assault charges.
Prosecutors Kristi DeCluitt and Kristen Duron rested their case against Graves Tuesday afternoon after calling five witnesses, including two eyewitnesses to the altercation and Sheila Richardson, Graves’ former girlfriend who testified she still has feelings for him.
