(FOX40.COM) — The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide that occurred during a large party that was attended by over 100 individuals on early Monday morning. • Video above: How to report a public safety threat

Around 4:40 a.m., SCSO said deputies responded to reports of gunfire in the 300 block of Olivero Road in Modesto. When they arrived, deputies found Felipe Ramirez, 30, of Ceres, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Officials stated Ramirez was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead due to the seriousness of his injuries.

Detectives from the Sheriff's Major Crimes Unit came to the scene and are working to learn more, SCSO said.

At this time, the investigation remains active and ongoing, SCSO said.
