MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The Manitou Springs Police Department said a suspect out of Texas has been arrested on charges of sexual assault of a child.

On Monday, police said they received information about a wanted suspect possibly living in Manitou Springs. Officers said they learned the suspect had been using an alias to work at businesses in the area.

Law enforcement and local businesses assisted in identifying the suspect as Mitchell Thomas Harris. Police said Harris had been evading law enforcement for about four years and has been known to use names such as “Billy” and Billy the Kid.”

Police say he was arrested outside of his home in the downtown Manitou Springs area on Monday.
