LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Rising prices have given way to fast-fashion, but cheaper doesn’t always mean better. Can you make ends meet and still look fashionable? Some say you definitely can, and you can stay trendy and fresh longer if you do it right.

Dr. Katherine Bruce is a manager of market insights for Cotton Incorporated, a not-for-profit research and promotion organization. Bruce says studies showed them rising prices and economic fluxes have many families rethinking how they shop.

“Parents tell us it feels a little different this year because of economic pressure,” shared Bruce.

According to a new survey from Intuit Credit Karma, 44% of parents plan to incur debt to cover school supplies.
