LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - A person was killed Tuesday afternoon in a house fire, Lansing fire officials told News 10.

The fire occurred on the 3300 block of Continental Drive in Lansing Tuesday, just before 6 p.m.

News 10 crews at the scene confirmed with Lansing fire officials that one person was killed. The victim’s identity is currently unknown.

Lansing Fire Department Battalion Chief Michael Clevenger told News 10 that first responders arrived within three minutes after receiving the initial report.

There, firefighters found one person dead inside the home, and that the roof had collapsed. Flames were coming from the windows and roof.

A nearby home sustained minor damage.
