INDIANAPOLIS -- A program that provided free parking to homeless individuals in the Circle City living in their cars has shut down.
Safe Park Indy confirmed on its website that it is now closed, citing a lack of resources needed to "scale beyond our pilot."
FOX59/CBS4 first reported on the program in October 2024, when it announced efforts to accept clients and offer free overnight parking to homeless individuals living out of their vehicles. At the time of its launch, it was the first program of its kind in the State of Indiana.
