A man and woman found dead Sunday from gunshot wounds in the 4100 block of Sod House Trail on Colorado Springs' east side have been identified, according to a release by the Colorado Springs Police Department.

On Monday, the El Paso County Coroner's Office identified them as Tanya Burnside, 45, and Bryce Tallent, 42. Police are investigating Burnside's death as a homicide and Tallent's death as a suicide.

This was the 22nd homicide this year in Colorado Springs, according to the release. The investigation into this homicide is active and ongoing.
