SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - On the very south side of town, many leaders of the state of South Dakota celebrated the next step in establishing a home for the Jewish community.
The groundbreaking marks the beginning of a long-envisioned project, one that Chabad Community Center members hope will serve as a vibrant hub for Jewish life education and community in the state.
As South Dakota’s Jewish population grows with the state, Rabbi Mendel Alperowitz said the grounds of the center will reflect the city as a whole.
“The Chabad Jewish Community Center will further put Sioux Falls on the map as a welcoming and forward-looking city, and when I think of Sioux Falls over the next 100, I see the Chabad Jewish Community Center standing as a lighthouse as a place of community, connecti
