SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The Sioux Falls Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is inviting the public to a public meeting/open house tonight.

Sioux Falls MPO is updating the Metropolitan Transportation Plan, a process that happens every five years.

The meeting’s focus is on presenting the Sioux Falls 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan, titled “Go Sioux Falls 2050.”

Go Sioux Falls 2050 will focus on the current transportation conditions, plan for future scenarios, and provide recommendations for the future of transportation in Sioux Falls.

The plan schedule is anticipated to be finalized by September 2025.

There will be a chance to present written comments at the meeting and online through the project website until Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025.
