HONOLULU (Island News) – As an increase in demand for the online services for City and County of Honolulu’s DMV and satellite city halls grow, the City is working to make it possible for a Hawaii driver’s license to be renewed online by early 2026.

“We realize that there is an enormous opportunity to expand our online-service offerings at satellite city halls and driver licensing centers, and we are moving aggressively to seize it,” said Kim Hashiro, director of the city’s Department of Customer Services, which administers DMV services in the City and County of Honolulu.
