Colton police officials are singing the praises of one of their parking enforcement officers this week after he singlehandedly recovered10 stolen vehicles and prevented them from being stripped and sold on the black market.

“Yeah,” Officer Bill Harring said, chuckling, “cost somebody a couple of bucks!”
Normally, his day consists of issuing parking citations and making sure driveways aren’t blocked around town – something he does from his distinctive white pickup truck with a light bar on the roof and “City of Colton” emblazoned across its doors.
