BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Last season was the first time in 18 years that Century football did not make the playoffs. A pair of losses in late October against WDA rivals Mandan and Minot ended their season early. That snapped the longest postseason streak in program history.

“Last year, we put our pads away in October, and that hadn’t happened for many, many years, and we don’t want that to happen again. So I think that’s kind of the battle cry for all of the kids is we want to play in November,” Patriots’ Head Coach Ron Wingenbach said. “Once you get to November, anything can happen. Consistency, I think that’s the key. If you look at some of our games last year, we were up and down, and it cost us. We need to be consistent for 48 minutes.”
