ST. LOUIS COUNTY (First Alert 4) -- The application period for St. Louis County’s senior property tax freeze has ended, but officials are warning residents about a website some used during the process that may have cost them more than they expected.

The site, propertyrec.com aka propertyrecs.com , promotes a $1 property report, but some users report a $30-a-month subscription charged to their credit cards after receiving their report.

“SCAM ALERT: They charge you $1 and then charge you $30 after that,” one user reported to the Better Business Bureau. “They are a scam. My bank called and said they blocked a charge, so I had to get a new card.”
