PEORIA, AZ (AZFamily) — A vigilant witness’ tip led to the arrest of a man who was pretending to be an FBI agent and pulled at least one person over in Peoria, the Department of Public Safety said on Tuesday.

Someone called DPS on April 10 after seeing a man in a black Ford F-150 pickup truck who pulled over another driver on state Route 303 near Lake Pleasant Parkway, DPS said.

Officials added that the tipster recorded video of the man and the trucks involved. Red and blue flashing lights were spotted on the front windshield of the suspect’s truck.

DPS investigators said they found and interviewed the driver, who said the suspect identified himself as an FBI agent while being pulled over.
