GILBERT, AZ (AZFamily) — The town of Gilbert, like most cities and towns in the country, is now a playground for high school seniors taking part in the “Senior Assassin” game.

“It’s been going on for years,” said Gilbert Police Officer Travis Sheppard. “It really spans wherever they can walk, run, drive or ride in the town.”

Sheppard said the department knows the game is coming at the beginning of every school year.

Seniors run and drive around town with water guns, trying to “eliminate” their friends. The last person standing is the winner.

“Social media is definitely at the center of this game,” he said.

A look at TikTok shows hundreds of videos of the game posted from students all over the country, reaching hundreds of thousands of views.
