KANSAS CITY -- The right-field corner was Vinnie Pasquantino ’s favorite place to go on Tuesday night.
First, Pasquantino hit a laser of a three-run home run over the right-field wall, a basket shot into the corner of fans just inside the foul pole. Then, he drove a double off the top of that same wall in the seventh inning.
Add in the sacrifice fly that Pasquantino recorded in the first inning -- this one to left field, no right-field wall needed -- and the Royals’ first baseman drove in five of Kansas City’s eight runs in its 8-5 win over the Nationals on Tuesday at Kauffman Stadium, clinching a series win with back-to-back victories.
