BERKELEY SPRINGS – The Morgan County Tennis Association (MCTA) is preparing to host the first Morgan County Tennis Open, a new event aimed at serving up community engagement and competition on the local courts.

Started in 2004, MCTA is a nonprofit with a mission to bring tennis to Morgan County residents of all ages. It works with local elementary and middle schools, while working to construct and upgrade tennis courts throughout the county and all-around promote enjoyment of the sport.

“The idea is that it is offering a chance, for one, to get the kids outside to just play tennis and see if it takes a spark,” said Paula Osborne, MCTA director.
