RANSON — Jefferson County’s National Night Out Against Crime celebration was once again held at the Home Depot parking lot in Ranson on Aug. 5. The event continues to draw large crowds year after year, as community members come out to support their local law enforcement. While open to all, the event certainly catered to the younger members of the community, offering lots of activities for children. A focal point of the evening allowed officers to meet and greet residents, including youth, to ensure that a positive relationship between the community and law enforcement could be developed.
