LAKE EUNICE TOWNSHIP, Minn. — The Lake Eunice Township board has voted on two new measures following the Becker County Board’s approval last week of a gravel permit in the township.

On Tuesday night, Aug. 12, the township voted 4-1 to approve a road agreement. The agreement says the owners of the property, which would include a gravel pit and residential properties, would help the township maintain and repair the road and work to make the negative effects of the gravel mine’s operation less harmful.

A motion was added requiring the owner to pay for truck hauling signs to be put up on those roads.

The township voted 5-0 on a second agreement, which approves the Prairie Lake Estate housing development. Members of the board said taking away the housing approval would not be fair.
