ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — Allegiant announced a new nonstop route between St. Petersburg, Florida, and Huntsville, Alabama, on Tuesday morning.

According to a release, Allegiant will be establishing five new nonstop routes connecting eight cities across the country in early 2026.

“Coming off the heels of an announcement two weeks ago, we are excited to continue our growth trajectory with our new route from Sarasota/Bradenton, Florida to Rochester, New York,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant’s chief commercial officer. “As a leisure focused airline, our unique business model allows us to quickly respond to consumer demand and connect underserved markets to top vacation destinations.”

The Sarasota-Rochester route will start up on Feb. 13, 2026, with one-way flights costing as low as $59.
