LEWISTON, Idaho – Idaho State Police took action on Highway 12 near Lewiston when they performed a PIT maneuver on an SUV reportedly driving recklessly.

Troopers reported that the suspect was driving into oncoming traffic, prompting the maneuver to protect the public.

Following the stop, the suspect was arrested and faced several charges.

The charges included driving under the influence (DUI), eluding, concealing a firearm while intoxicated and having an open container.
