Concerns are escalating for a missing mother after her bag was found in a park near a viaduct in Truro. An urgent search has been initiated by the police for 49-year-old Claire Bennett, who disappeared in Cornwall on Monday.

Her last known contact was around 1.30pm, with CCTV recording her final confirmed sighting at 3.24pm as she departed from Truro Train Station. The mother, from St Austell , is thought to still be in the Truro vicinity .

Officers sounded the alert for her well-being after she was officially categorised as a high-risk missing person.

In a poignant plea, her daughter implored her to return home, stating: "Mum, if you read this please come home. We aren't mad at you and we all bloody love you! You win at hide and seek.
