Metro Detroit high school football fans know all about quarterbacks Donald Tabron II of Detroit Cass Tech and Tommy Carr of Saline, but the same can’t be said about Harper Woods quarterback Nate Rocheleau, who has been outstanding while getting things done under the radar.
Tabron was a freshman phenom the same way Bryce Underwood was a few years ago, when he led Belleville to the Division 1 state championship in 2021.
Tabron learned on the run last season and showed his poise when he completed 15 of 21 passes for 161 yards and a touchdown in a state semifinal win over Detroit Catholic Central . He then went 15-for-20 passing for 176 yards and three TDs in the state title game win over Hudsonville .
