MODESTO, Calif. —
A man died after a shooting at a large house party, the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.
Deputies went to a home in the 300 block of Olivero Road near Crows Landing and East Hatch roads after getting a report of gunfire around 4:40 a.m. Monday, the sheriff's office said. When they arrived, they found a 30-year-old man, later identified as Felipe Ramirez of Ceres, with multiple gunshot wounds.
The sheriff's office said Ramirez was taken to a hospital where he later died from his injuries. Investigators at this time believe the shooting happened during a party where more than 100 people were in attendance.
Details on a suspected shooter were not released. It is also not known what led up to the shooting.
