BRISTOL, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority is closing the Mount Hope Bridge Thursday night at 7 p.m.
It will remain closed until Monday, August 18 at 5 a.m.
RITBA will be resurfacing the roads along the bridge and it will be closed to all traffic.
Workers with the Rhode Island Department of Transportation are reopening lanes of I-195 along the Washington Bridge, but they’ll close them again later Wednesday night.
Starting at 9, RIDOT will close exits on I-195 from Broadway to South Main and Gano Streets in both directions, as workers continue setting up a structural health monitoring system.
The lanes will re-open at 5 a.m. Thursday.
