GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Members of Florida’s Doge will begin their audit of Alachua County on Wednesday following a letter sent from the state demanding access to county spending.

The city of Gainesville and other municipal governments have received similar letters, assessing the local governments’ spending and demanding access to financial documents. Florida DOGE team members were at Gainesville City Hall towards the end of last month, collecting these documents and now it’s the county’s turn to undergo review.
