Jade Thirlwall has dug up a real buried treasure while looking back at the year she’s had since launching her solo career, ahead of the long-awaited release of her new album.

On Tuesday night, the former Little Mix singer shared a string of photos on Instagram from over the course of the last 12 months, including a personal message from Sandie Shaw .

The Eurovision winner’s signature hit Puppet On A String was famously sampled on Jade’s debut solo single Angel Of My Dreams , with Sandie giving the feature her personal seal of approval in a private message that had gone unseen until now.

“What an amazing piece of work,” Sandie wrote of the track, saying she was “absolutely thrilled to be included” in Jade’s musical “journey”.
