WARREN, Ohio (WOIO) - A six-year-old girl is recovering after being shot inside a home early Wednesday morning.

The shooting happened around 2:15 a.m. in the 2400 block of Montgomery Ave. NW.

According to Warren Police, the victim’s sister called 911 to report the shooting.

When officers arrived, they said they found bullet holes to the rear of the home.

The child was transported to St. Joseph Hospital for treatment. Her name and condition have not been released.

Police are also asking residents i n the area of Montgomery Avenue NW and Arthur Street NW to check their security cameras.
