CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - State Representative Sean Patrick Brennan (D-Parma) has proposed a new bill that would require public transparency from amusement parks on what rides are not working.
According to Rep Brennan, this bill would give consumers protection before buying a ticket.
“Families spend hundreds of dollars and travel across the state to visit these parks,” said Rep. Brennan. “They deserve accurate, real-time information so they can plan their day and avoid the frustration of walking across the park to find a ride shut down.”
The bill would require that permanent amusement parks post ride closures on digital signs at the park and publicly online or on their official app. Parks would be required to update the information within five minutes of the ride closing and opening.
