CINCINNATI (WXIX) - St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati is launching Ohio’s first statewide medication donation and distribution hub.

Organizers said it’s a major step forward in closing medication access gaps for vulnerable Ohioans.

Locally, it means a steadier supply of life-saving medications for St. Vincent De Paul’s three Charitable Pharmacies in Cincinnati.

The goal is to remove barriers to care for people who can’t afford their prescriptions.

“We’re seeing so much waste of medications that could be repurposed to save someone else’s life,” said Rusty Curington, Vice President of Pharmacy for St. Vincent De Paul Charitable Pharmacy.

By 2027, St. Vincent De Paul Charitable Pharmacy in Milford will launch Ohio’s first statewide drug repository and distribution center.
