Teen named and charged after boy is sprayed with corrosive substance

A teenager has been named and charged after a boy was sprayed with a corrosive substance . Bert Baker, 19, has been charged with throwing corrosive fluid with the intent to burn or maim.

The victim was attacked in Brislington on Monday, August 11.

An ambulance rushed him to hospital.

He has since been discharged and is being supported by police officers.

Avon and Somerset Police said: “A 19-year-old will appear in court today following an assault in Bristol.

“Bert Baker, of Wootton Road, in St Annes, was charged overnight with having a corrosive substance in a public place and throwing a corrosive fluid with intent to burn or maim.
