Huntsville Hospital is ubiquitous in north Alabama, with locations in multiple counties , including one in Tennessee.

The health institution, which began as a volunteer infirmary in 1895 , has, in the last 130 years, grown to become a Tennessee Valley behemoth with $2.7 billion in operational budget for 2024 and employing about 20,000 people.

At the top of the food chain are facilities located in Huntsville and Madison: Huntsville Main and Madison Hospital.
