Aug. 12—Former Northville girls’ basketball standout Hailey Monroe is suing the Northville Central School District and former girls’ basketball coach Jim Zullo, stemming from the incident in which Zullo is accused of pulling Monroe’s ponytail following the team’s state championship game this past March.

The lawsuit was filed by attorney Peter Moschetti on Monday in state Supreme Court in Fulton County. It alleges that Zullo “had a reputation and history of inappropriate, aggressive and dangerous conduct” towards Northville players, including Monroe, and that the district had “actual notice” of Zullo’s conduct.
