OWOSSO, Mich. (WILX) - A new no-kill animal shelter is opening in Owosso on Saturday.

The shelter will collaborate with the Shiawassee County Humane Society and other rescue organizations in the surrounding areas.

It is located in a building on East Hibbard Road that formerly housed an animal shelter over a decade ago, which closed due to budget constraints.

The grand opening will take place on August 16 from 9 a.m. to noon at 1251 E. Hibbard Road, Owosso.

Puppies from the Humane Society will be available for adoption.
