PHOENIX (AZFamily) — After the recent deaths of three Arizona children, despite multiple child abuse reports to DCS, child advocacy organization Childhelp said change must be made to child abuse reporting.
According to Childhelp, there are too many regulations and thresholds in place for a child abuse report to lead to a DCS investigation. Chief of Staff Michael Medoro said unless changes are made, children’s lives will continue to be at stake.

“It’s a wake-up call for that very reason. Until we start reforming the thresholds for what language looks like to report abuse, until we start improving and overhauling how we are providing oversight, especially to group homes, we’re going to continue to see the headl
