A 21-year-old Guelph man is one of three people facing firearm and drug charges after a traffic stop in Mississauga.

Peel police said the stop occurred on Aug. 2 in the area of Derry Road East and Airport Road.

The Guelph man was charged with breach of probation order, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, and trafficking — opioid other than heroin.

As well, a 21-year-old Brampton man and a 20-year-old Mississauga man are facing several charges, including possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, have care and control of a vehicle with cannabis readily available, trafficking — opioid other than heroin, and occupant of a motor vehicle knowing ther
