HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- Two people were taken to the hospital early Wednesday morning after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 501 near Aynor, according to Horry County Fire Rescue.

The crash, which involved a commercial vehicle, happened in the area of Highway 501 and William Nobles Road. HCFR crews were dispatched at 5:59 a.m.

Extrication operations were needed, but no information about injuries was immediately available. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating. The Horry County Police Department is assisting.
