ATLANTA — An investigation has led Atlanta Police to believe the man who was killed at Mozley Park in May was involved in an armed robbery when he died.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office previously identified the man who was killed on May 27 at the park as Zantrez Cummings.
APD shared an update Tuesday, saying investigators determined the 27-year-old was "acting in the commission of an armed robbery" when he was killed.
Homicide investigators previously said Cummings walked up to a parked car , and the occupants inside opened fire.
APD said the death investigation has now been classified differently to show that a private citizen killed him during a crime.
