PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Today is our last First Alert Weather Day for the heat as an Extreme Heat Warning finally expires tonight at 8 p.m. Look for above average temperatures in the 90s this morning warming to 110 degrees this afternoon.

Expect sunny skies throughout the day and light winds. Storm chances begin to ramp up today across Arizona, mostly in the higher elevations. That being said, there’s a slight chance for Valley storms tonight as well. There’s also a decent chance for gusty outflow winds that could bring blowing dust to the Valley later today.

Valley storm chances ramp up a bit more tomorrow, with chances peaking on Friday. Friday will be a First Alert Day for monsoon storm chances. Thursday brings a 40% chance for rain in the Valley, although that chance will go down if
