LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) - Throughout Nebraska’s preseason camp, we have heard coach and playa alike gush over the uber-talent Australian punter Archie Wilson.

An 18-year-old from the outback, Wilson’s talent is only dwarfed by his personality.

The punter from down under can kick with either foot, he can throw, and just as easily make you smile.

“He left his country, he left his family to come here to play a sport he’s never played before,” Matt Rhule said. “He’s just the most interesting man in the world to me.”

Wilson arrived in Nebraska this summer, coming all the way from the punting powerhouse, ProKick Australia, in Melbourne.

“Coach John Smith came up to me one morning and said ‘hey Archie, you’re going to Nebraska, and I was like ‘cool!’” Wilson said matter-of-factly.
