SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - A Spartanburg man is facing many charges after reportedly admitting to distributing child sex abuse material over the internet.
31-year-old Calvin Johannes Juntunen has been charged with 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor following a collab investigation by the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office and the SC Attorney General's Office.
According to deputies, Juntunen allegedly distributed child sexual abuse material using the Kik messaging platform. An investigation began after CyberTipline reports were submitted to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Investigators obtained and executed a search warrant at Juntunen's residence, where deputies said the suspect admitted to distributing the illegal material.
