MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - Two men were arrested after McCracken County deputies responded to a report of an armed person at Waffle House.

Jermize Weddle, 25, of Union City, Tenn., was arrested for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Cornelius Davis, 19, of Union City, Tenn., was arrested for receiving stolen property (firearm).

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, they received a report of an armed subject at Waffle House in Lone Oak around 3:30 a.m. on August 9.

A responding deputy saw a vehicle speeding away from the scene and pulled it over in a nearby business parking lot.

While searching the vehicle, deputies found an assault rifle and a handgun.

They say they learned that one of the guns was reported stolen out of Union City, Tenn.
