ROCKAWAY BEACH, Queens (PIX11) --- A man was stabbed to death steps from his Rockaway Beach home Tuesday night, according to the NYPD.

Officers responding to a 911 call for an assault found Brandon Williams, 37, with a stab wound to the chest outside of 192 Beach 115th St. in Far Rockaway at around 9 p.m., police said.

Williams was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved, cops said.

The victim was killed on the same block where he lived. The motive for the fatal stabbing was unclear.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
