A 40-year-old man was arrested after he snatched an undisclosed amount of money from a customer during a cash deposit and ran out of a bank into a getaway car in Imperial Beach, authorities said Wednesday.
The robbery happened just before 2 p.m. Tuesday, when the suspect later identified as Roberto Galvan, allegedly approached the victim from behind, grabbed her money and drove away from the Chase Bank located in the 1100 block of Palm Avenue, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
The victim tried to stop Galvan, but sustained minor injuries while holding onto the car as he fled the area, the agency said. Her name was not immediately released.
