A CGI showing how some of the homes at Mapperley Meadows could look
Work is getting under way on a new £29 million housing development in Mapperley that promises a "village-like atmosphere". Developers Cameron Homes say the site's proximity to Gedling Country park, farm shops and the neighbouring Brookfields Garden Centre will give the Mapperley Meadows development a sense of "local charm".
The development will include 57 homes on land off the B684 Mapperley Plains, just before the busy roundabout that links the road with Catfoot Lane and Beedham Way. The development will comprise a range of three, four and five-bedroom houses and a waiting list has been launched for when properties go on the market.
Izzy Thompson, senior sales manager at Cameron Homes, said: "We're delighted
