The Huntsville Police Department says it will hold a news conference Wednesday, alongside local, state, and federal partners, to announce the results of a major drug trafficking takedown by the North Alabama Drug Task Force.
Nearly two dozen people have been arrested and indicted, with total asset seizures topping $5 million.
Police say this is the first case in Alabama carried out under the Billy Clardy III Act, named in honor of fallen HPD STAC Agent Billy Clardy III.
The news conference is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
