A charity which helps people who cannot afford school uniforms has set up a pop-up bank in the city. Clothing Coventry recycles used school uniforms and buys new items when funds are given.
Coventry Building Society has donated £20,000 to help over 1,000 students receive new school uniforms for September. The bank's donation will be used to replenish the supply of high-demand items, such as secondary school blazers and school shoes.
The charity has started a pop-up school uniform bank at Queens Road Baptist Church, which will be open until Friday, August 29. Families can book a space via the Clothing Coventry website to collect free high-quality school uniforms.
